Located in the fertile Skagit Valley of Washington state, Skagit Farmers Supply has served the local agricultural community since 1934. As a local co-operative the company provides farmers, homeowners, businesses, families and the communities in the Pacific Northwest with services through Agronomy, Energy, Retail and Wholesale operations.
Our Agronomy Division works to improve crop production, manage costs and increase yields. We offer a full range of products and services including crop protection products, dry and liquid fertilizer, turf & ornamental products, seed, custom application services, corn planting, crop burning and side dressing. Our facility in Burlington, WA features a state-of-the-art robotic bagging line for supplying fertilizer to Hawaii, Alaska and other parts of the country.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Greet customers and assist them to fulfill orders by loading & unloading products.
• Ensure compliance with all inventory control measures.
• Audit location inventory through physical inspection and verify accuracy through monthly counts.
• Monitor all merchandise for correct location assignments.
• Analyze inventory variance reports.
• Recognize, prevent and investigate potential security risks and reasons for shrink and theft.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
• Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Demonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking, investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Lift, carry, push, pull and load up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with crop protection and nutrient products.
• Knowledge utilizing inventory management or purchasing systems, or other query-based analytic or forecasting software.
HOURS / DAYS / SCHEDULE
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday. Qualified applicants must be available to work extended hours, evenings and weekends as needed, especially during times of high seasonal demand.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
