Ultrasound Sonographer | Part Time Day Shift
PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center
$50.16 – $75.29/hr
Hiring bonus and relocation assistance may be available
What If Three Days a Week Was Enough?
Imagine finishing your Monday shift and knowing you have the next four days to yourself.
Not because you're taking PTO. Not because you're between assignments. Simply because that's your schedule.
This part-time ultrasound opportunity at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, Washington offers something increasingly difficult to find in healthcare: meaningful hospital-based work paired with the kind of schedule that allows life to exist outside of work.
The Sonographer Who Will Love This Role
You enjoy the challenge and variety that comes with hospital ultrasound.
One exam might be an abdominal study. The next could be a vascular case. Later in the day, an urgent OB patient may arrive through the Emergency Department and need the confidence and expertise of an experienced sonographer.
You appreciate being trusted to think critically, adapt exams in real time, investigate unexpected findings, and use your clinical judgment rather than simply following a checklist.
You also value balance.
The ability to practice at a high level while still having time for family, hobbies, travel, or whatever matters most outside of work.
What The Day Feels Like
No two days look exactly the same.
Most of your day is spent performing the general ultrasound studies that keep a hospital moving, from abdominal and abdominal vascular exams to small parts and other diagnostic evaluations. Along the way, you'll use your clinical judgment to adapt studies, investigate unexpected findings, and gather the information physicians need to make confident decisions.
You may also perform vascular studies and, when an urgent OB patient presents through the Emergency Department, step in with the expertise and calm presence those situations require.
Throughout it all, you're more than the person operating the equipment. You're a trusted clinical partner whose observations, critical thinking, and attention to detail directly impact patient care.
Why This Position Stands Out
PeaceHealth has earned the trust of patients and communities by staying focused on people first.
The same philosophy extends to caregivers.
This is a highly trusted, values-driven organization that believes caring for patients starts with caring for the people providing that care. The commitment shows up in the support available to caregivers, investment in wellbeing, and a culture where people are treated as professionals and human beings.

PeaceHealth is committed to caregiver wellbeing: physical, emotional, financial, social, and spiritual.
Benefits include:
Required Upon Hire:
