PeaceHealth is seeking an Experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to join our exceptional Women's Services team. Our Labor & Delivery team cares for patients throughout the entire birthing journey, including our dedicated Obstetric Emergency Department. You'll work alongside experienced nurses, OB hospitalists, physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, pediatric specialists, and NICU teams in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and clinical excellence are valued every day.

Your Impact

As a Labor & Delivery RN, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and emergency obstetric situations.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Manage complex labor patients with confidence and clinical expertise
  • Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments
  • Monitor and interpret fetal heart tracings
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and babies
  • Respond effectively during high-risk deliveries and obstetric emergencies
  • Educate, support, and advocate for patients and their families throughout the birth experience
  • Serve as a trusted clinical resource and mentor to fellow caregivers
  • Participate in quality improvement and professional practice initiatives

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  • Minimum one year of recent Labor & Delivery experience, or currently practicing independently within an L&D department

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience caring for high-acuity obstetric patients
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care

Certifications

The following certifications are required within six months of hire:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
