Compensation

The salary range for this position is $45.78 - $82.98 per hour.

Compensation is based on experience and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.

This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement. Multiple openings may be available.

About the Role

As an Emergency Department RN, you will provide direct patient care across a wide range of acuity levels while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure timely, effective treatment and positive patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care
  • Performing rapid assessments and prioritizing treatment based on patient acuity
  • Documenting care accurately and efficiently within the electronic health record
  • Coordinating care with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Delegating patient care activities appropriately based on team member competency and scope of practice
  • Promoting patient safety, quality outcomes, and exceptional patient experiences
  • Participating in quality improvement, infection prevention, and departmental initiatives
  • Maintaining clinical excellence through ongoing education and professional development

What We're Looking For Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
  • Minimum of one year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage:
    • Cardiac patients
    • Complex medical-surgical patients
    • Pediatric patients
    • Multiple trauma patients
  • Proven clinical competence and strong critical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Emergency Department Certifications

The following certifications are required within the specified timeframe:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) within 6 months
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 12 months
