Compensation
The salary range for this position is $45.78 - $82.98 per hour, based on experience and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement, and there may be multiple openings available.

What You'll Do
As an Emergency Department RN, you'll provide professional nursing care while partnering with physicians, caregivers, patients, and families to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans
- Providing direct nursing care to patients with a wide range of emergency and acute care needs
- Accurately documenting patient care in accordance with established standards
- Coordinating and delegating care to other healthcare team members based on scope of practice and competency
- Promoting a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to patient care
- Participating in quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and department initiatives
- Maintaining professional competency through ongoing education and development
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
- Minimum of one year of recent Emergency Department experience, or currently oriented and independently practicing within an Emergency Department setting
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage:
- Cardiac patients
- Complex medical-surgical patients
- Pediatric patients
- Multiple trauma patients
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
The following certifications are required within the specified timeframes:
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 6 months of hire
- TNCC within 12 months of hire
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Strong clinical judgment and emergency nursing skills
- Knowledge of age-specific care across the lifespan
- Commitment to patient- and family-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Basic computer proficiency
- Understanding of hospital policies, procedures, and professional standards
This role requires the ability to work in a dynamic, high-acuity environment and includes:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting
- Patient handling in accordance with safe patient handling guidelines
- Performing CPR when required
- Exposure to biohazardous materials, body fluids, and airborne particles
- Working effectively in a busy, fast-paced clinical setting
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in patient care situations
