PeaceHealth is seeking a skilled and compassionate Critical Care Float RN to join our dynamic care team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple critical care areas, including ICU, ED, CVU, and PACU—bringing your expertise where it’s needed most.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver direct, professional nursing care to critically ill patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families
- Accurately document care and maintain compliance with clinical standards
- Delegate and coordinate care effectively within the care team
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required)
- BSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in ICU, ED, or Stepdown
- Ability to care for a wide range of critical patient populations
- Experience across multiple specialties is a strong plus
Licenses & Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS)
- Strong clinical judgment and adaptability
- Excellent communication and teamwork
- Commitment to patient- and family-centered care
- Proficiency with electronic health records and basic technology
This role requires working in a fast-paced clinical setting with:
- Frequent movement (standing, bending, lifting)
- Patient handling (with assistive devices as needed)
- Exposure to clinical and biohazard environments
