The Clinical Nurse Educator collaborates with clinical educators, nurse specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop, coordinate, and deliver orientation, education, competency, and professional development programs. This role supports evidence-based practice, staff competency, and high-quality patient-centered care while serving as a clinical leader and mentor.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver education, orientation, and training programs for nursing and clinical staff.
- Assess learning needs and address competency gaps through targeted education and remediation plans.
- Support implementation of new processes, equipment, and evidence-based practices.
- Coordinate department-specific orientation for new hires.
- Evaluate training effectiveness, caregiver engagement, and quality outcomes.
- Maintain training and competency documentation in learning management systems.
- Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing practice.
Required
- BSN from an accredited nursing program.
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- BLS, ACLS certification upon hire.
- 3+ years of RN experience.
- 3+ years of recent education, staff development, or equivalent preceptor experience.
- Master's degree in Nursing or Education
- Nursing Professional Development Certification.
- Adult learning and instructional design.
- Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to engage learners and drive practice change.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning technologies.
