PeaceHealth St. Josephs Medical Center in Bellingham, WA is seeking a Pharmacy Resident for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $27.38 – $41.06. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Resident, working within their scope of practice, performs the duties of a pharmacist in accordance with established procedures and under direct supervision. The Pharmacy Resident is responsible for providing competent, efficient and ethical pharmacy operations and basic pharmacotherpeutic services for the assigned caseload of patients.

What you will do:

Perform pharmaceutical services related to the preparation and dispensing of drugs and other pharmaceutical supplies in accordance with physicians' prescriptions.
Advise physicians and patients regarding the proper usage of prescribed drugs under strict supervision.
Performs other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

Doctor of Pharmacy Required: Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
Preferred: Experience in unit dose distribution, IV admixture, and computerized medical order entry and pharmacy profiles
Required: Upon Hire Pharmacist Intern- Washington and
Required: within 120 Days Pharmacist - Washington 28-day additional grace period allowed; if pharmacist license is obtained, intern license is no longer required and
Preferred: Basic Life Support and
Preferred: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
