About the Role:
As an Electrophysiology Technologist, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care. You'll work within the scope of an Electrophysiology Technologist to provide individualized, safe and efficient patient care using imaging modalities. You'll work collaboratively with all other healthcare team members toward the best outcomes for the patient and the organization and perform invasive procedures in concert with a cardiologist or a radiologist. You'll apply principles of radiation protection, exercise professional judgement in the performance of procedures, provide patient care essential to procedures, recognize patient conditions, take immediate action and initiate life support measures and maintain knowledge current with developing required technology.

- Great Schedule: This is a .875 FTE day shift position (70 hours per 2 week pay period), and will be scheduled 6:30 AM to 5 PM, plus limited, evening only call.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and implement patient care within scope of education and/or licensure in concert with Cardiologist or Radiologist.
- Provide direct patient care. Performs related radiographic/fluoroscopic imaging techniques to demonstrate catheter location, position and document findings.
- Assists the physician to position, manipulate and prepare catheters and guide wires prior to and during the procedures.
- Document patient care in health record according to department standards.
- Prepares and maintains sterile field, monitors and records patient condition and procedures progress.
- Ensures own professional effectiveness through continued education and professional development.
Qualifications
- Accredited Program of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology required, or a combination of education and experience that provides the incumbent with the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
- CVTs with only on-the-job training must have a minimum of two years of interventional cardiovascular hospital experience
- Proficiency with electrogram interpretation, programmed electrical stimulation, and intracardiac echo preferred
- ARRT (R) or RCIS, RCES or CEPS certification required.
- Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Required within 6 months: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
