PeaceHealth is seeking a talented Chief Executive for our Oregon Network!
The Chief Executive of the Oregon Network is the senior executive responsible for providing leadership to achieve operational and performance success for the PeaceHealth Oregon acute care and critical access hospitals.
In this role, you will be responsible for the execution and delivery of results driven by system strategic initiatives implemented within the network. You will cultivate relationships, inspire teams and build strength to successfully deliver on system-established goals related to Clinical and Operational Excellence. This includes building strong partnerships and alignment with PeaceHealth System Services leadership and resources, local leadership, community health boards, PeaceHealth Medical Group physicians and leaders, CAOs, Ambulatory Services Leadership, and Foundation Leaders and Community Partners.
PeaceHealth's Oregon Network is comprised of four hospitals totaling over 500 beds and more than 5,200 employees located in Springfield, Eugene, Cottage Grove, and Florence Oregon. The largest of these, PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend, located in Springfield/Eugene, is a state-of-the-art regional medical center. This medical center is a key part of the community and is on the leading edge of evidence-based hospital design, and creating a patient-centered, healing environment with a strong focus on quality clinical outcomes and patient safety. Our robust Medical Group also has clinics in Eugene-Springfield, southern Lane County, and Florence, providing a full range of primary and specialty care services.
Springfield is located at the southern end of the Willamette Valley, also known as, Oregon wine country. Two rivers run through the community, the Willamette River, and McKenzie River. Bike, walk or run the Middle Fork Path along the Willamette river, or spend the day fishing on the McKenzie river. Springfield has a flourishing downtown and fast becoming a must visit for it’s culinary experience! Immersed in art, take the outdoor mural tour, or stay inside at the Emerald Art Center. We have one of the most desirable locations in the Pacific Northwest to live, work, and play.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Leads and executes the multi-year Mission Sustainability work in the Oregon Network hospital delivery system. Successfully develops and implements, in conjunction with System leaders’ goals, long and short-term System initiatives. Contributes to system strategic goals and ensures Network goals and objectives are aligned with the system’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Leads implementation of the multi-year implementation of the System Strategic Roadmap in the Oregon Network, including value-based care initiatives locally.
- Lead the integration and execution of One PeaceHealth as a cultural and functional imperative in the Oregon Network.
- Responsible for the operational and financial performance for the Oregon Network hospital delivery system. Ensures long-term financial and operational stability by implementing effective systems and providing management oversight. Executes and delivers on the annual operating budget and is accountable for outcome performance.
- Provides timely and accurate information regarding the Oregon Network hospital delivery system, issues pertaining to the external environment, internal operations, and key strategic decisions.
- Ensures that the community is well served through proactive participation, contribution and PeaceHealth representation in the external environment where appropriate. Develops relationships with regional spiritual leaders, philanthropic leaders, political leaders, and healthcare leaders, as requested and directed by System leadership.
- Develops highly skilled and functional leaders at all levels in the Oregon Network. Provides for management continuity by developing and engaging key caregivers, and by developing systems to ensure that professional development and caregiver engagement is accomplished at all organizational levels which results in enhanced services to meet the needs of PeaceHealth and the community.
- Champions initiatives to achieve operational and clinical excellence. Leads weekly huddles on patient safety and quality, reporting out at the System level, for performance of the Oregon Network.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Business Administration or Master’s Science in a healthcare field is required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting.
- Knowledge, training and/or experience to deliver financial results for areas of responsibility.
License/Certifications:
- ACHE Diplomate preferred.

- Possesses ability to facilitate resolution of conflicts and grievances, handling highly charged problems and situations in a calm and objective manner.
- Must possess excellent problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements:
- Work requires fairly light physical exertion from up to 65% of the time.
- Ability to lift objects weighing 30 lbs. or less.
- Work is performed under normal working conditions with adequate lighting and ventilation.
- Job duties frequently require intense concentration and attention to detail (up to 65% of work time).
The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $483,200 - $707,400. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.
