Wilson Engineering is accepting applications for Mid to Senior level Engineers with Electrical and/or Control Systems Engineering experience to join our team in Bellingham or Wenatchee, WA. Hybrid/Remote is an option, but you must reside in Washington and be able to travel to Wenatchee and/or Bellingham for a minimum of three days per month.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4-year Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering degree.
  • Washington State PE is required.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in electrical and/or control systems engineering design.
  • Experience designing wastewater, stormwater, transportation, drinking water, and treatment systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AC power systems design. Motor control circuits, power distribution, load calculations, panel schedules, voltage drop, and one-line diagrams.
  • DC power system design for control and instrumentation circuits, such as those used for measurement of flow, pressure, level, and temperature.
  • Experience with electrical system modeling and Easypower software.
  • Illumination system design. Knowledge of WSDOT requirements and experience with AGI32 lighting modeling software.
  • Experience with National Electric Code (NEC), WAC, NFPA, and other applicable codes.
  • Ability to read and develop relay logic wiring diagrams.
  • Strong technical writing skills and experience with MS Word and Excel.
  • Experience with AutoCAD software for electrical engineering drawing development.
  • Must have good organizational skills and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Engineering design of electrical and control systems drawings and specifications for municipal, industrial, and commercial projects.
  • Conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses.
  • Detailed engineering reports and supporting documents.
  • Construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Develop written reports, analyses, and studies for various electrical and control system applications.
  • Project management, including scheduling and budget control.
  • Assist with the development of proposals for new projects.
  • Assist in strengthening new and existing client relationships.
  • Provide peer review for other company projects and assist in developing and improving company standards.
