Lead Early Learning at Western Washington University Western Washington University is seeking a collaborative and visionary leader to serve as Director of the Child Development Center (CDC). The CDC Director provides strategic leadership for a high-quality early childhood education program serving WWU students, faculty, staff, and a limited number of alumni and community families. The Director will lead a team of early childhood educators while overseeing program operations, personnel, budget, enrollment, licensing and compliance, program quality, and strategic planning. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of early learning at WWU. The CDC currently serves 87 children ages 1–5 across six classrooms and plays an important role in the university community, by not only providing high-quality care and education, but also serving as a teaching and learning partner for the Woodring College of Education through practicum, internship, employment, and research opportunities. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrated leadership experience, along with a commitment to equity, inclusion, accessibility, family engagement, and developmentally appropriate practice. Academic Budget and Administration is seeking a Fiscal Specialist 2 to support the Department Related Activities Committee (DRAC). This position coordinates budget development, advises program administrators on fiscal requirements, and prepares financial information to support DRAC and the Services & Activities Fee Committee decisions. This is a half-time, nine-month cyclic project position with an initial one-year appointment that may be extended, contingent upon continued funding. Associate Director of Financial Aid Systems and Operations
The Associate Director of Financial Aid Systems and Operations has high level leadership responsibility for Western Washington University, directing the Systems and Operations enterprises for Financial Aid. The Associate Director reports to the Executive Director of Financial Aid, providing strategic administration of student financial aid programs through the effective implementation, configuration, and management of financial aid software for the Financial Aid department and by oversight of application processing flow, systems documentation, and staff training. The Associate Director supervises the Assistant Director for Financial Aid Operations, one IT Business Analyst, and one Senior Financial Aid Counselor, and indirectly supervises three Program Coordinators and one Program Assistant who serve within the Financial Aid Operations Center. Additionally, the Associate Director coordinates with Enterprise and Application Services. The Associate Director completes reports and surveys with significant compliance implications for the institution. This leader oversees administration of a number of financial aid programs, has significant responsibility for managing disbursement of millions of dollars of federal and state aid for the institution, and serves as a member of the Financial Aid Leadership Team.
