Admissions Counselors manage outreach and recruitment efforts for a specified geographic territory while contributing to the development and implementation of a comprehensive and data-driven undergraduate recruitment plan. Counselors participate in all aspects of outreach and recruitment, in a fast-paced work environment. This includes applying a proactive and detailed approach to learning about Western, building relationships with students, families and counselors, and engaging in relevant follow-up, program planning, application and scholarship decision-making and related duties as assigned to identify, attract, and enroll future Western students. This position is stationed at the Bellingham campus.

Program Specialist 2
The Program Specialist 2 is a member of a dynamic team focused on student success and in increasing the number of certified educators in the State of Washington. This position plays a significant role in supporting students (undergrad, graduate, endorsement-only) once admitted into their program of study. This position serves as the sole on-site staff member and is responsible for coordinating all student service and faculty support aspects of Woodring College of Education's Multilingual Education Community Programs offered at Western's site location in Renton, WA. Strong communication skills as well as the ability to work both as a member of a team and independently are critical to this position. Additionally, this position will assist with tasks specific to Multilingual Education programming across multiple sites, including the Bilingual Teaching Fellows Program located in Everett. This is an 11-month, 40 hour/week, cyclic position. Position is based at the Puget Sound ESD in Renton. Anticipated work hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:00-6:00; Friday hours are variable. Tasks pertaining to other site locations will be conducted from the Renton location. Additional evening work may be required as well as occasional travel to other Western site locations and regional partner districts and colleges.

The Financial Aid Department at Western Washington University is seeking a Director of Financial Aid Systems. The Director has high level leadership responsibility for Western Washington University, directing the Systems and Operations enterprises for Financial Aid. The Director reports to the Executive Director of Financial Aid (ED-Fin Aid), providing strategic administration of student financial aid programs through the effective implementation, configuration, and management of financial aid software for the Financial Aid department and by oversight of application processing flow, systems documentation, and staff training. The Director supervises the Assistant Director for Financial Aid Operations, one Senior Financial Aid Counselor, and indirectly supervises three classified program coordinators and one program assistant who serve within the Financial Aid Operations Center. Additionally, the Director coordinates the work of two IT Business Analysts on the Student & Faculty Systems Team in Enterprise and Application Services. The Director completes reports and surveys with significant compliance implications for the institution. This leader oversees administration of a number of financial aid programs, has significant responsibility for managing disbursement of millions of dollars of federal and state aid for the institution, and serves as a member of the Financial Aid Leadership Team.

Event Services Manager
The Viking Union at Western Washington University is searching for a highly qualified candidate to join our team! The Viking Union Event Services Manager works closely with students, faculty and staff in the planning and implementation of a wide variety of events at our student union and other venues on campus. This position manages Setup and Event staff, Audio Visual Services and Reservation process at the Viking Union with an emphasis on supporting student activities, clubs, and community building events. These events include large- and small-scale concerts, banquets, receptions, information fairs and conferences. The Grant and Contract Coordinator works under general direction to negotiate with funding agencies to establish terms and conditions of grant and contract awards, conduct preliminary institution-wide review of proposals, and provide technical advise regarding alternative formats, sources of funding, and agency policies to faculty investigators and administrators involved in proposal preparation. The Grants and Contracts Fiscal Specialist 2 is a key member of the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects team providing post-award fiscal guidance, assistance, and administrative support for an assigned group of principal investigators (PIs) in Environmental Science, Anthropology, and Sociology. It also serves a centralized compliance function specific to Effort Certification on federal awards across campus. There is an emphasis on providing payroll/personnel support, purchasing/contract administration, basic fiscal reporting, and monitoring for compliance with applicable federal, state, and institutional policies and procedures.
