Transfer Admissions Advisor
Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, the Transfer Admissions Advisor coordinates and delivers a variety of pre-enrollment advising and transfer credit evaluation services that serve and support prospective students and applicants in their journey to Western. The Transfer Admissions Advisor meets with students to promote transfer to Western and ensure students understand the application process and how their credit will transfer to Western, applies expert knowledge of Western’s transfer credit policies to determine the transferability of college courses completed at other educational institutions, and shares responsibility with the Transfer Credit Specialist for and maintaining the course equivalency database used by students, University staff and community college advisers throughout the state.

As part of the Payroll Services team, the Payroll Coordinator provides fiscal administrative support and serves as the main contact for payroll questions from university department staff and supervisors. This position maintains extensive knowledge of the web time-entry system to remain compliant with timesheet procedures and ensures compliance of state and federal reporting for garnishments, payroll direct deposits, and leave cash outs. Some evening and weekend work is required in this position and staff are expected to be available to support A&R activities for fall registration (mid-July through August) and in the weeks leading up to the start of other academic terms.

The Assistant Resident Director (ARD) is a full-time hourly (40 hours per week)/overtime eligible, 12-month appointment, live-in position within University Residences reporting to a Supervising Resident Director (SRD). The ARD supports the supervising resident director in the management of a residential community of 550 - 700 students in the tasks of: developing diverse and inclusive communities; enhancing student learning; developing consciousness regarding principles of equity, respect, and individual and collective responsibility; providing conduct adjudication and Residential Programming Board (RPB or hall council) advisement; and supervising and training paraprofessional staff.
