About the Position In anticipation of possible openings throughout the academic year and summer sessions, applications are accepted continuously for temporary non-tenure track faculty positions on a part-time basis with occasional opportunities for temporary, full-time appointments. Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.

Academic Emphasis: Design

Position Responsibilities:

Instruction in various courses assigned by Department Chair. 

Required Qualifications
  • BA, BFA or equivalent experience in the Design field
  • Ability to teach courses in any of the following disciplines: branding and design strategy, typography, drawing for design, motion design, packaging design, three-dimensional graphic design, web design, visual design, interactive design, user experience, illustration, design history, book arts, design production or publication design.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills and professionalism
  • Commitment to working with diverse students and staff, including cultivating learning environments that are equitable and inclusive of students with diverse social identities and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful teaching experience
  • MFA in Design
  • Extensive industry experience

Salary

 $1,200-$1,500 per Credit, Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
