Summary of Duties:
The Maintenance Mechanic 2 position is responsible for work in support of the Facilities Maintenance Operations department at WSU Tri-Cities. Responsibilities include making repairs to plumbing and electrical systems, repairing drywall, and performing preventative maintenance on all types of mechanical equipment. The position must troubleshoot and as needed, make repairs to all campus control systems, including electrical, pneumatic and DDC central supervisory control. Additionally, they must act as part of the campus emergency response team as needed.
Required Qualifications:
High school graduation and four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade; OR equivalent education/experience.
Valid unrestricted Driver’s license at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated work Experience within a commercial setting. -Journey level license or certifications in any of the following trades: HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, mechanical or other trade.

Monthly Salary: $4,740.00 - $5,501.00 | Range 47 | Steps G - M
Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 .
