Title: Inside Sales Supervisor

Department: Business Development (Sales & Marketing)

Reports To: Business Development Manager

Function: Process Control & Inside Sales Management

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary: Provides direct support of a complex and responsible nature within the Business Development Department for pre and post-sale transactions. Responsible for the coordination and implementation of interfacing with internal departments & external customers, requiring considerable organization, and initiative with a high level of attention to detail.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Works closely with Business Development Manager as well as all departments to maintain an understanding of current capabilities and the evolving marketplace

· Supervise the internal Inside Sales portion of Business Development, including Account Rep(s) and Quote Technician(s).

· Assist Account Reps with collecting information from Customers and internal departments to ensure quotes are processed to meet required deadlines.

· Create and respond to RFQs for assigned Customer list, which includes maintaining status updates on open opportunities, performing follow-up tasks, and participating in weekly forecasting meetings to give updates.

· Works closely with internal departments to obtain costs associated with the product and services quoted, including lead-time, and availability of materials to ensure that delivery dates can be committed to and achieved.

· Understand market value when compiling and developing pricing based on input from internal department collaboration and research within pricing limit approvals set by management to help sell company product and services.

· Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, delivery schedules, and research industry trends to develop creative solutions for customers.

· In-depth understanding of the sales ERP functionality

· Communicate with accounting to verify terms and credit limits as well as setting up terms for new customers as required.

· Make outbound sales calls to prospective customers as assigned.

· Participate in daily sales meeting standups and help to build open-communication with a pro-active approach to generating new business opportunities.

· Follow-up with Customers as needed on sold orders to communicate any changes, or ask clarifying questions that pertain to their order.

· Resolves customer complaints by investigating and recommending solutions to team.

· Functions as a "point of contact" for internal departments on behalf of the Customer for sold orders. Communicate Customer requests, update status in ERP and other documents as required.

· Comply with and keep records updated properly within AS9100 guidelines and company policies.

· Coordinate/organize Customer Sales kickoff meetings with Operations as necessary

· Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

· Four years relevant industry experience

· Proven work experience as an Inside Sales Representative (or higher)

· Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Office

· BS degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant experience

· Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
