GENERAL FUNCTION:

This in-person role is responsible for delivering both Restorative Practices (RP) and mediation services through the Dispute Resolution Center (DRC). As a key member of the RP team, this position will facilitate restorative processes, coordinate casework, and support community outreach and education. In addition, this role will provide mediation services, primarily in Small Claims Court, Family Mediation, and Parent-Teen Mediation contexts.

PRINCIPLE ACTIVITES:

  • Process RP referrals, intake, and case coordination in partnership with the RP team.
  • Co-facilitate restorative processes, including Circles, Restorative Conferences, and related interventions.
  • Deliver RP classes and assist with curriculum development and ongoing revisions.
  • Track and document youth participation, homework, and outcomes; report to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support intake meetings with youth and families.
  • Maintain detailed case notes and contribute to program reporting.
  • Participate in community engagement efforts, including school partnerships, tabling events, and coalition meetings.
  • Attend professional development and team training related to RP.
  • Mediate in Small Claims Court, Family Mediation, and Parent-Teen Mediation settings, among others.
  • Attend all team meetings and events for the mediation team and RP team.
  • Represent the DRC and its mission with professionalism and impartiality.
  • Support other DRC services and initiatives as assigned by the Leadership Team.
  • Perform mediation services as directed by Leadership team.
  • Support all Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) programs as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree in a related field +1 years of experience or in lieu of degree, a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
  • Certification or training in Restorative Practices or Restorative Justice preferred.
  • Experience in case management, facilitation, and working with youth or families is desirable.
  • Trained and Certified Mediator is desired

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Commitment to principles of Restorative Justice and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in record-keeping, documentation, and timely communication with partners.
  • Comfortable working with diverse populations and navigating sensitive situations with empathy and care.
  • Flexible, organized, and solution-oriented in approach to service delivery.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and being available and responsive via email/phone/messaging.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
  • Travel will be required, as needed.
