POSITION SUMMARY: The Coalition Support Specialist is responsible for communications and collaboration with the MV Hope coalition coordinator, as well as surrounding coalitions and organizations. The support specialist will help maintain relationships and communications with our surrounding community, as well as assisting the coordinator in grant writing, organization, and program implementation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coalition support:
- Attends coalition meetings and committee meetings both for MV Hope and other surrounding organizations as the face of the coalition
- Collaborate with coalition coordinator on capacity building and strategy
- Helps coordinate and support coalition subcommittees and additional meetings
- Data Entry support
Communications:
- Website and social media platform updates
- Communicate with coalition around strategy, events, and upcoming opportunities
Other:
- Attend prevention trainings and conferences
- Help with grant writing
- Participate on various committees with other leaders across the association as assigned
- Follows the organizations policies and procedures regarding protecting youth from abuse; including screening and selection, training and supervision, and responding to allegations.
- Consistently manages and meets deadlines
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree or GED is required
- Skilled use of social media platforms, content creation, and engagement
- Minimum of 1 year of design, communications, writing or related experience
- Fluent in Spanish is highly encouraged
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to demonstrate the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
- Strongly self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team
- Willing and able to learn quickly
- Willing and able to accept directions and feedback
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Current state-approved certifications in CPR/AED, First Aid & Bloodborne Pathogens, as well as Abuse Prevention and Mandatory Reporting training are required within 90 days of hire.
