Skagit Farmers Supply, a local cooperative since 1934 based in Burlington, WA, serves farmers, homeowners, businesses, families, and the communities in the Pacific Northwest. The company operates Agronomy, Propane, Refined Fuels and Wholesale divisions as well as retail Country Store locations in Washington, Idaho and Montana. The company is seeking candidates for a Credit (Accounts Receivables) Specialist at its Main Office in Burlington, WA.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ideal candidates will possess a high level of initiative, discretion and independent judgment, with a positive attitude. Candidates should be flexible and detail oriented with a great attitude. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Perform initial credit account setup and accounts receivables duties.
• Build and maintain cross-functional relationships throughout the company.
• Perform general administrative duties (answer and direct telephone calls on a multiline phone system, transport mail to and from the post office, open and process incoming mail, filing and other clerical duties).
• Negotiate collection arrangements for overdue account balances.
• Compile credit data following established company policies and guidelines.
• Assist customers with billing, service and payment questions.
• Update, maintain and reconcile account information.
• Carry out continual process improvement and effective delivery of credit services.
• Build and maintain excellent customer relationships.
• Follow all company policies, procedures and Sarbanes Oxley controls.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
• Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Proven track record of being dependable and reliable.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Lift, carry and load 30-pound weight requirements.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree or certificate in finance, accounting or business administration, or equivalent experience

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time, in person, 40 hours per week position. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
