JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Identify and assess potential risks across operational, financial, and reputational domains.
• Oversee risk financing including commercial insurance policies (property, liability, environmental, auto, crop, cyber, etc.), coordinating prompt and accurate claims documentation in the event of a loss.
• Serve as the primary contact for insurance brokers and adjusters during policy reviews, renewals and claims resolution.
• Draft and present risk reports and proposals to executive leadership and senior staff based on evolving business conditions.
• Collaborate with department heads to establish policies and procedures that identify and address risks in the organization, adhering to federal and state regulations including USDA, EPA, OSHA and DOE requirements.
• Supervise and support staff, providing direction, coaching and performance feedback to ensure objectives are met.
• Provide training and guidance on risk-related topics across the organization.
• Safely and regularly operate a vehicle to make deliveries, visit various company locations and other businesses.
• Exhibit an ability to receive feedback, adapt to new processes and continuously develop skills.
• Practice punctual and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business administration, finance or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience performing risk management or similar duties.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with an emphasis on calculating figures and amounts.
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate, communicate well and effectively relay information with an emphasis on developing positive professional relationships.
• Proven track record of being dependable and reliable.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Certified Risk Manager certification
SCHEDULE
This is a salaried, in-person, full-time, 45+ hours per week position. Monday through Friday. Qualified applicants
must be available to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
$110,000 – $130,000 annually. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
