Skagit Farmers Supply, a local cooperative since 1934 based in Burlington, WA, serves farmers, homeowners, businesses, families and the communities in the Pacific Northwest. The company provides traditional farm supplies, pet supplies and lawn & garden products for both homeowners & professionals through our Country Stores located in Washington and Montana. We also operate agronomy, propane, refined fuels, wholesale and feed manufacturing divisions. Our brands focus on commitment to provide quality products and services to our customers and community partners.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and cultivate relationships with members of the community.

• Assist in planning, developing, implementing and organizing marketing events.

• Manage and oversee the company’s youth rewards program.

• Attend conventions, conferences, fairs and trade shows as needed.

• Collaborate in the production and proofing of image, marketing & promotional materials, and programs including but not limited to print, electronic media, trade shows, direct mail and signage.

• Assist in managing media relations designed to cultivate relationships within various communities.

• Monitor social media platforms. Respond to inquiries and/or direct them to the appropriate staff.

• Maintain and distribute the company’s uniform program.

• Review donations and sponsorship requests.

• Train and inform others on promotional activities. Assist on location when needed.

• Exhibit an ability to get along with others.

• Practice punctual and reliable attendance.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma (or equivalent).

• Possess a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.

• Display proficiency with Windows-based computer software, including (but not limited to) Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.

• Provide excellent customer service.

• Function effectively by multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

• Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, writing, verbal and analytical skills.

• Professional appearance and demeanor.

• Have a proven history of dependable and reliable employment.

• Lift, carry and load 30-pound weight requirements.

• Ability and willingness to travel as needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, public relations or related field.

• 1-3 years of related professional experience.

• Experience using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator or other Creative Suite applications

• Experience managing social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$22.00 – $27.00/hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
