Overview: Maintain, service, diagnose, repair, and overhaul inboard marine engines (gas and diesel) and related mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems to ensure seaworthy and reliable vessels. Key responsibilities: diagnose engine and system problems; perform repairs and preventative maintenance; repair/replace components including fuel, electrical, transmissions/gear cases, and propulsion; maintain detailed service records; work safely per protocols. Required: 2–5 years’ inboard engine experience; strong mechanical aptitude and marine systems knowledge; read/interpret manuals and schematics; physically able to work in varied conditions; valid driver’s license. Preferred: formal marine-mechanic certification; experience with both gas and diesel and broader vessel work; flexibility for non-standard hours. Physical: lift up to 50 lbs; confined spaces; climb ladders; stand/walk/sit for extended periods; all-weather work. Hours/Comp/Benefits: Full-time Mon–Fri 8:00am–4:30pm; compensation DOE; Medical (PPO/HSA), Dental, Vision, Life, 401(k), Sick, PTO. Salary: $52,000–$90,000 DOE.
