Join the innovative team at PACCAR's Global Powertrain department as we develop groundbreaking internal combustion and electric powertrain platforms to support our global product offerings under the renowned Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF, and Leyland brands.
We seek a collaborative individual to fill a vital role in our team based at the PACCAR Technical Center in Mt. Vernon, WA. In this position, you will work closely with engineering, quality, and global test departments to develop and execute a comprehensive risk mitigation plan. Your efforts will ensure project plans align seamlessly with the program schedule, supporting successful market introduction plans. As the ideal candidate, you possess an outgoing personality and excellent communication skills.
You will gather and effectively communicate validation information, coordinate activities across our global test facilities, and maintain alignment with multiple vehicle integration programs.
Additionally, you will be vital in reporting progress, actively participating in problem-solving and adapting the validation plan to maintain the project schedule and budget.

Division Information
The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Communicates strategic benefits of projects to various levels of management throughout the organization to gain support and to achieve goals.
- Track and report critical metrics (readiness, defects, documentation, communication).
- Provide analysis and feedback to senior management on project activities, status, improvements, and savings.
- Directs the activities of team members to meet project goals.
- Prepare and deliver program presentations.
- Contribute to department-wide continuous improvement activities.
- Travel up to 15% will be required.
- Effectively balances stakeholder needs against project constraints.
- Applies Six Sigma tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects.
- Works with cross-functional teams to recommend and implement process improvement plans.
- Challenge conventional wisdom by applying new methodologies to improve product and process quality.
- Develop fact-based, data-driven measurements of validation performance in collaboration with the stakeholders.
- Proficient and well-versed in the use of project management tools.
- Uses knowledge of diverse functional areas to improve efficiency, progress, and results beyond what these functional areas would achieve working independently.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of project management or relevant professional experience.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to effectively communicate complex concepts.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, keen attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to professionally interface with internal and external stakeholders.
- Skilled in conflict management and resolution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education
A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
