We are looking for a BEV Charging Integration Lead within the Powertrain Software and Development team. Specific focus will be leading the development, calibration and in-vehicle verification of Battery Electric Vehicle Charging Systems. The selected individual will work in a global, cross-divisional, and innovative team to develop and calibrate “Best in Class” vehicle functions for North America.

Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Lead BEV Charging system integration activities regarding embedded and supplier software packages for North American BEV Vehicles
- Successfully develops and executes Calibration & System Integration plans for the BEV programs, including timing, quality, and budget
- Provides technical feedback on proposed product changes
- Supports embedded engineering group with new product requirements definition and software prototyping initiatives
- Stays current on industry trends and system development processes
- Identifies opportunities or provides input for new initiatives to improve calibration and testing methods for higher efficiency and effectiveness
- Works with Control Systems Owners (CSO) to Maintain living standard corporate documents with Suppliers
- Tracks Supplier development software interacting with all relevant CSO’s. Records/Reports changes, issues, and debug status
- Track Supplier field software interacting with all relevant CSO’s. Records/Reports changes, issues, and debug status
- Align SW specifications with HW sample versions release and timing for build events
- Work with all CSO’s to Submit PACCAR SW requirements to Supplier and hold them accountable for satisfying requirements
- In charge of Vehicle Systems Integration of Functions for Charging
- System Test and Development
- Coordinates testing, results and communication documentation with all suppliers
- In-depth functional understanding of all Charging Sub Systems
- Summarize technical issues and communicate project status effectively to all levels of management
- Link and track defects in PACCAR system(s) to Supplier Software tracking
Qualifications
- BS in appropriate technical field required.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred
- Excellent Knowledge of BEV technology, vehicle applications, and standards
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols: J1939, UDS, XCP, Ethernet, CAN-bus, LIN-bus
- Experience coordinating technical work within and between organizations
- Knowledge of Electric Vehicle Technologies and customer usage patterns
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-directed and have demonstrated high levels of resourcefulness, initiative and innovation
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Education
BS in appropriate technical field required.
