The Structural Lab Support Supervisor’s main responsibility is ensuring safe and efficient operation of PACCAR Technical Center’s structural validation lab. Including daily operation and preventive maintenance of the lab’s mechanical and hydraulic power system. This supervisor will manage a team of mechanics and technicians responsible for setting up and running physical validation tests on PACCAR truck assemblies and their components.

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck, engine, and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Maintain lab safety and promote environmental responsibility.
Supervise, mentor, and coordinate lab technicians and mechanics.
Work closely with structural validation team to schedule lab activities and validation testing.
Preserve PACCAR’s high precedent of cleanliness and organization.
Coordinate regular lab preventive maintenance.
Perform performance appraisals yearly.
Technical Skills (Required)
Five years of leadership experience
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and assemble mechanical test equipment.
Good mathematical skills and basic knowledge of engineering practices and theory
Thorough understanding of high-pressure hydraulic systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in use of air tools, hand tools, and power tools
Associate’s degree in technical field or equivalent
Basic computer skills
Effective writing and communication skills
Technical Skills (Preferred)
Overhead crane certification
Confined space procedures training
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Associate’s Degree in technical field or equivalent
