Position Summary

Performs a wide range of facility maintenance, repair, and service tasks including non-technical maintenance of plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning. Performs a variety of custodial and carpentry maintenance duties. Manages all operational aspects of the landscaping and grounds maintenance activities.
Qualifications
High school graduate or equivalent and a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing similar custodial and/or maintenance duties. Prior electrical, plumbing, and carpentry experience desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted which provides the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance required. Washington driver’s license and proof of liability insurance required.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. The duties of the above position require the ability to operate basic custodial, electrical, and carpentry equipment and/or tools, pushing, pulling, walking, stooping, bending, crawling, reaching, twisting, and climbing. May require heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds. Travel required on occasion. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech, and vision is necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Generally works a regularly scheduled eight-hour shift; may require occasional work hour adjustment and/or overtime to accommodate facility needs. This position is not telecommute-eligible per Policy 5225.
Hazards: Potential hazards exist in working with chemicals in various cleaning agents and exposure to germs associated with waste products, traveling in inclement weather, varied road conditions, rush hour traffic, etc.
