Position Summary

The Fiscal Technician I ensures accurate and timely processing of payments for the NWESD, including receipting, recording, depositing, reporting, and reconciling financial data across systems while maintaining files and compliance with controls and regulations. The role also supports accounting tasks such as entering transactions and budgets and assisting staff with fiscal issues as assigned.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent, an AA degree is preferred and two years of progressively responsible accounting and cash receipting experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted which provides the skills, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position. WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance required.

Employment Conditions and Benefits

8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, 260 days per year.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in an office environment. Lifts and carries a maximum of 40 pounds. Prolonged use of a computer terminal doing repetitive work is common as well as occasional stooping, kneeling, pulling and pushing. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech and vision are necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. This position is telecommute-eligible per Policy 5225.

Hazards: Those present in a normal office environment; no known significant hazards.

Salary Range

$53,830 - $60,632.00
