Description Of Duties/Essential Functions
Under direction of the Warden, serves as the Human Resources generalist for the Hill Correctional Center; provides a variety of personnel services in administering the State of Illinois personnel system; provides advice and counsel relative to matters required under the Personnel Rules, Classification Plan, Pay Plan, Bargaining contracts and other administrational programs and activities; supervises staff.

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge, skill, mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years college and 1 year professional experience, preferably in Human Resources, or satisfactory completion of appropriate training program; requires working knowledge of IL ST GVMET, Personnel Code/Rules/Pos. Classification Plan/Pay Plan/Collective Bargaining Contracts/ Department Policies and Procedures; requires ability to handle high volume of confidential information; sorts info & verifys by a systematic method the reliability of the info; ability to read, assimilate infor & data, & recall with reasonable degree of proficiency facts/fig.; articulate HR admin info in terms to others; present facts orally & in writing; ability to use computer sys/software/templates.
