Position Summary

This position serves as the primary point of contact for the NWESD with the Cascade Bicycle Club, AESD Bike Education Program Manager, and participating school districts. The Regional Bike Education Specialist leads program implementation, delivery logistics, daily programming, and supports both internal and external key partners.
Qualifications
AA Degree or equivalent work experience in education or related field. WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance required. Valid Washington State driver’s license and proof of liability insurance required. Preferred qualifications include experience in teaching bicycling or other healthy activities to children, multicultural education, bike maintenance skills, and experience with operating towing vehicles.
Employment Conditions and Benefits
8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, 260 days per year

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Work is performed approximately seventy-five percent (75%) in an office environment and approximately twenty-five percent (25%) traveling to districts, ESD's, and other miscellaneous locations which can include outdoor work. Lifts and carries a maximum of fifty (50) pounds including moving bicycles to /from storage or on/off of vehicles and trailers including during adverse weather. May include some weekend and evening work. Adequate manual and finger dexterity, hearing, speech, and vision are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. This position will be eligible for limited telecommuting.
Hazards: Potential hazards are present based on the fact that the position requires the incumbent to drive a significant amount. Hazards may include but are not limited to traveling alone, traveling with a trailer, driving in inclement weather conditions, varied road conditions, rush hour traffic, etc.

Salary Range
