High School Diploma or GED Required for all substitute positions

The substitute paraeducator may perform a variety of tasks. This position works closely with certificated teacher(s) and/or other staff members with support services as part of a program or instructional team in creating and maintaining an effective climate for student learning. Incumbents provide instructional and/or non-instructional activities for the purpose of educating basic education, special education and/or preschool students with specific support for assigned students who are at risk, educationally disadvantaged, requiring program support for academic work necessary to meet state standards, course completion, graduation, and/or have a variety of disabilities.
