Ready-Mix Plant Laborer, Maintenance Helper

Miles Sand & Gravel Company, a trusted name in the industry for over 80 years, is seeking a reliable and hardworking Ready-Mix Plant Laborer to support the daily operations of our concrete batch plant. The ideal candidate will assist with general plant maintenance and cleanup while working closely with the plant operator and other team members to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production of ready-mix concrete. What You’ll Do:

• Shovel and hose down slurry and debris from concrete slab and surrounding areas.
• Dump garbage cans and dispose of plant waste materials properly.
• Perform general housekeeping and clean-up duties around the plant, yard, and equipment.
• Assist with basic maintenance and upkeep of plant machinery and tools.
• Help monitor and manage material inventory and assist in unloading raw materials.
• Communicate clearly with batch plant operator and team members.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
• Other duties as may be assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• A hardworking and dependable individual with a strong work ethic.
• A self-starter who can work independently, diligently and responsibly with minimal supervision.
• Experience in operating a forklift or willingness to be trained.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Must be able to listen attentively and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)

• $27.71 – $36.95 per hour.
