Title: Clinical Supervisor, RN
Location: Urgent Care Centers
City: Bellingham, WA (Additional locations in Mount Vernon and Lynden)
Position: Full-time 40 hours/week with potential for overtime, Flexible Shifts (4x10 or 5x8) between weekday hours of 9:00am-9:00pm and potential for weekend shifts 9:00am-5:00pm, non-exempt (hourly)
This role includes a Leadership on-call week (Saturday through following Sunday) on a rotation schedule amongst the leadership team. Must be flexible with working outside of normal business hours to accommodate clinic and staffing needs.
Compensation: The full wage scale is $31.70 - $47.58 per hour. There is a an additional $3.00/hour shift differential for eligible evening and weekend hours. Placement within the wage range is determined by the candidate’s relevant experience. The Urgent Care Centers are open seven days a week, excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Bonus: Candidates are eligible to receive a sign-on bonus of $3,000 when accepting a full-time position (0.75 - 1.0 FTE) (Subject to payback clause).

- PSL accrues at 1 hour per 40 hours worked
- EIB accrues up to 32 hours per year (pro-rated based on hours worked) for both part-time and full-time employees, with a maximum of 480 hours

Essential Job Functions:
This position is responsible for providing quality patient care within appropriate scope of practice, while adhering to FCN company policies and standards. This role also provides supervision of clinical staff as assigned by the Manager. Actual duties are site specific and may include some or all of the duties listed below.
Leadership
- Clinical Excellence: Performs the clinical skill set of their role (RN) per FCN standards and act as a mentor, preceptor or trainer as needed for staff to achieve competency.
- Ensure clinical staff meetings are held on a regular basis.
- Acts as liaison between patients, staff and management at site, solving problems, issues and concerns in a professional manner.
- Attends scheduled clinical leadership meetings to review regulatory, performance, clinical, legal/ethical or process concerns.
- Actively participates in and promotes all FCN Initiatives.
- Supervise and schedule clinical staff & other groups as directed by the Practice Manager.
- Ensure clinical staff understand and adhere to appropriate protocols and processes as defined by applicable laws and Family Care Network.
- Responsible for collaborating with other departments and agencies, including meetings and committees as appropriate.
- Ensures routine clinical functions are monitored/assessed consistently to meet quality standards and compliance. (ie: medications and samples are checked for expirations and equipment is serviced and controls are performed according to manufacturers standards.)
- Review and approve timecards as directed by Practice Manager.
- Appropriate use and response to email in a timely manner.
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensures clinical staff performs their role in compliance with applicable laws and FCN guidelines.
- Responsible for ensuring adequate assessment, documentation and communication to Practice Manager and FCN administration when violation of policy, laws, rules or scope of practice is in question.
Performance Observation
- Responsible for timely completion of new hire clinical training competency form.
- Responsible for ensuring demonstration and observation of operational procedures that are site specific are completed within the 90 day time period.
- In collaboration with Practice Manager, conducts annual performance reviews.
- In collaboration with Practice Manager, provides coaching and disciplinary action as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrates clinical understanding of providing care per standards. Critical thinking, triage assessment, problem solving and documentation reflect consistent meeting of standards, are demonstrated in meeting passing score of random chart review.
- Consistently meets the overall Clinical competency standards for EMR documentation.
- Accurately schedule, change, cancel appointments in practice management system.
- Competency in accessing information from the hospitals EMR.
- Effectively manage stress.
- Discern and maintains confidentiality (i.e. HIPAA, proprietary information, disciplinary actions, etc.).
- Works as part of a team, models a positive work ethic and customer friendly relations.
- Prioritize and multitask detailed projects with frequent interruptions.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency working with MS Word, Excel, email and Databases.
- Comprehend and communicate information accurately, clearly and professionally (verbally and in writing, in person and via phone) with patients, all levels of personnel, and other individuals and groups.

Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Completion of WA accredited RN program.
- Appropriate and current State license/certification (RN)
- Acquire and maintain current BLS certification as per FCN BLS policy.
- Medical office experience preferred.
- Five years of RN experience.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and listen attentively. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Immunization Requirements: Employees are required to meet immunization standards in accordance with federal, state, and organizational health and safety guidelines, as applicable to the role. A simple process is in place for employees to request exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
