Description

Title: Systems Analyst

Location: Administrative Office - IT Department

City: Bellingham, WA

Position: Full-time 40 hours, Monday - Friday, non-exempt (hourly) On-site in IT Department, rotating on-call schedule. Travels to other Family Care network locations to assist with setup, support or maintenance as needed.

Compensation: The starting wage scale is $22.50 - $26.98 per hour. Placement within the wage range is determined by the candidate’s relevant experience.

Bonus: Employees are eligible annually to participate in discretionary bonus programs, as determined by FCN, which include the Years-of-Service bonus program, the Quality Performance bonus program, and the Performance Recognition bonus program.

Job Summary:

The Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the functions of the IT department in installing new software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Also diagnose and repair computers that come in for service, order parts and produce quotes for new equipment. May also work with IT Manager and Systems Administrator on network security. Follows department protocol to log problems, recommend resolutions, priority, and tracking.

We are looking for a qualified, motivated individual who can:

  • Maintains the hardware and software systems for all company applications and users.
  • Coordinates with outside vendors as appropriate.
  • Performs testing on desktop software solutions prior to implementation.
  • Citrix XenApp, Citrix Workspace.
  • Data Backup and recovery.
  • PC / Hardware Maintenance: Support Windows, Linux, MS Office Apps, & Mac OS, Android and Apple iOS.
  • Supports basic computer training on software fundamentals, bridging gap between users and IT staff.
  • Interfaces with network users to resolve problems and to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. Follows department protocol to log problems, recommend resolutions, priority, and tracking. Keeps the IT team informed.
  • Meets with IT Manager and users to gather system requirements, offers analysis of those requirements and helps formulate a plan to develop the systems and procedures to satisfy the requirements within the IT team framework.
  • Employee seeks assistance as needed and communicates questions in a timely manner and to appropriate staff (supervisor, colleagues, providers, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical office practice.
  • Knowledge of Antivirus
  • May require security clearance for Lunavi Data Center and PeaceHealth.
  • Competency in EMR and Practice Management. (Athena, Epic)
  • Analyzes, investigates, troubleshoots and responds to routine and non-routine Help Desk requests over the phone, through email and ticketing system.
  • Establish good employee relations including conflict resolution.
  • Intermediate computer skills - use of computer applications for Health Information systems, word processing, EMR, and spreadsheets.
  • Discern and maintains confidentiality (i.e., HIPAA, proprietary information, etc.)
  • Works as part of a team; model a positive work ethic and customer friendly relations.
  • Prioritize and multitask detailed projects with frequent interruptions.
  • Solve problems issues and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Comprehend and communicate information accurately and clearly (verbally and in writing, in person and via phone) with patients, all levels of personnel, and other individuals and groups.
  • Customer Service and Personal Skills: Be able to resolve complex support issues via telephone, maintain professional relationship, respect, and good reputation with users.

An employee accrues PTO at a rate based upon the number of months of service at FCN. A new full-time employee generally accrues 18 days per year. EIB accrues based upon the number of paid hours excluding overtime, with a full-time employee accruing a maximum of 48 hours per year. Benefit eligibility is determined based on the full or part-time status of the position. Employees who are ineligible for FCN’s PTO/EIB programs accrue Paid Sick Leave per Washington State law.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (CS, Network Engineering, Specialty Training) preferred.
  • Network infrastructure knowledge necessary.
  • Experience working in a medical environment a plus.

Physical Requirements: Performing the duties of this job requires ability to: stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; use hand to finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities include: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.

Immunization Requirements:
Immunization Requirements: All employees at Family Care Network (FCN) are expected to meet and maintain required immunizations as a contingency of employment. The immunization requirements are as follows: Influenza (annually), Tdap (after the age of 19), MMR, Varicella or a verified history of chicken pox disease, Two-step TST or IGRA (within the last 12 months), COVID-19 vaccine completed series and any additional immunizations determined necessary for the protection of staff and patients. Hepatitis B is also required for employees in positions with a high risk of blood borne pathogen exposure, which includes the following: Providers, RNs, LPNs, MA-Cs, PSRs at all Urgent Care Locations, and all-laboratory staff. The Hepatitis B vaccine is strongly recommended for all other employees. FCN will cover the cost of required immunizations for any FCN employee. All employee immunizations will be administered by FCN staff except for the COVID-19 vaccine. The COVID-19 vaccine can be administered at a participating pharmacy or other healthcare location. Note: A medical or religious vaccine exemption/reasonable accommodation will be considered by submitting a FCN Exemption form for review and evaluation by the Chief Medical Officer.
