Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a well-established seafood wholesaler to hire a Quality Control Inspector. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in maintaining high food safety and quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring seafood products meet regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and company quality standards before reaching customers.

What you get to do:

• Inspect equipment, utensils, and peripheral areas to verify production area meets safety, sanitation and production standards.

• Maintain inventory of solutions and chemicals and requisition as needed.

• Visually inspect integrity of raw product containers received.

• Check and record internal temperature of frozen products.

• Calibrate accuracy of all floor and tabletop scales.

• Test products during the production process to ensure quality and food safety.

• Regularly sample packaged products to ensure quality and food safety.

• Use test equipment, check accuracy of safety sensors.

• Keep accurate and orderly records of inspections and findings.

• Immediately notify management of findings not consistent with food safety standards.

• Develop systems and procedures for an effective sanitation program.

• Educate plant personnel in basic sanitation and proper hygienic habits.

What you need to be successful:

• Able to work independently and set priorities.

• Able to recognize potential food safety issues and advise supervision and management.

• Able to communicate with management and staff.

• Experience in food processing

• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, or other GFSI schemes.

• Knowledge of Word and Excel

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 (DOE)

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00PM to 6:00AM
