We are recruiting for an experienced Structural Welder that has 3+ years of professional experience with MIG, TIG, and ARC welding techniques.

Qualifications: A qualified welder should be proficient with GTAW, GMAW and FCAW welding (steel, aluminum, stainless). Materials welded may include steel, stainless, aluminum or various alloys and the methods may include gas welding, shielded metal arc, gas-tungsten arc, gas-metal arc or submerged arc. Wire feed welding

• Competency in all positions
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering assembly and fabrication drawings
• Understand weld symbols and prepare joints in accordance with code
• Familiar with structural steel shop fabrication tools and machinery, including material handling equipment such as overhead and jib cranes and forklifts, is required
• Understand methods to reduce weld metal volume, arc time per weldment, rework and scrap, work effort, motion/delay time and other areas of improvement in welding practices
• Able to set weld machines to optimum parameters for work in accordance with WPS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and the ability to document and maintain accurate records

Welder Qualification Test. Must be able to pass flux core weld test in the vertical position prior to hire.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Completion of technical training in welding; or related experience and/or training; and
• 3 or more years of recent professional TIG/MIG welding experience required; and
• 3 or more years of metal fabrication experience.
• WABO certification a plus

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 (DOE)

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 10-hour shifts and may require some overtime work.
