As they continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced QA Lead to join their team and ensure that products meet and exceed regulatory and customer requirements.

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented QA Lead to oversee all aspects of quality assurance within the fish processing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team of QA inspectors to achieve consistently excellent product quality.

What you get to do:

• Responsible for overseeing the QA staff on the production line • Assist QA technicians with operational reports and complete required paperwork (daily process documentation, questions about checks, etc.) • Monitor performance of QA technicians and provide assessment to QA supervisor • Complete documentation and report out comments/warnings given to employees when supervisor is out • Monitor employees (as time permits with running a line) to make sure that checks are being done in a timely manner and all hand/foot dips are being done • Conduct standardized tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, weight, dimension, texture • Review purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor • Document data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with HACCP standards and company policies and procedures • Record test data such as weights, temperatures, moisture content, qualities and quantities inspected or graded • Apply proper acceptance/rejection criteria and marks items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status • Audit production facility and review employee behavior for proper sanitation • Communicate significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provide recommended process improvements to Production/QA Management • Prepare reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities to production • Maintain a working knowledge of company, government and industry quality assurance codes and standards • Completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions • Notify designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings

What you need to be successful: • A minimum of 2 years of experience • HS Diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications • HAACP Certification-Preferred • Industry specific experience-Preferred • Supervision or other experience-Preferred

Pay rate: $19.00

Schedule: Monday – Saturday from 4:30AM – 2:30PM
