Summary
The Economic Development Alliance of Skagit County (EDASC) is a dynamic 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity dedicated to driving economic growth and prosperity across Skagit County. Your Impact
As our Business Operations Associate, you'll be at the heart of our mission, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your work will support multiple programs, assist our executive team, manage board meetings, and foster relationships with our community and investors. - Office Operations: Keep our office running like a well-oiled machine. Coordinate travel logistics, manage supplies, and implement efficient procedures that enhance productivity.
- General Accounting: Oversee daily accounts payable, manage accounts receivable, and produce financial reports. Your attention to detail will help us maintain financial health and ensure contract compliance.
- Program Support: Assist our Economic Development Managers with the logistics and execution of various events. Your organizational skills will ensure our programs are impactful and memorable.
- Meeting Management: Orchestrate seamless board meetings, retreats, and special events. From managing agendas to distributing materials, you'll ensure our leadership stays connected and informed.
- Executive Support: Be the right hand to our executive team, managing calendars, arranging travel, and handling confidential information with utmost discretion. Your support will keep our leaders organized and focused on what matters most.
- Additional Responsibilities: Dive into special projects and initiatives, contributing your creativity and problem-solving skills to advance our mission.
Your Skillset
- Project Management: You're organized, detail oriented, and can juggle multiple priorities effortlessly.
- Financial Acumen: You possess accounting knowledge and are proficient in QuickBooks or other accounting software.
- Communication: Your written and verbal communication skills are top-notch, making complex procedures clear and accessible.
- Team Collaboration: You excel in cooperative settings, fostering open communication and positivity.
- Tech Savvy: You're comfortable with a variety of communication tools and technologies, from spreadsheets to social media platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field preferred, or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar administrative or operational role.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online is highly desirable.
- Accounting certificate or 2+ year of bookkeeping experience highly desirable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including writing and editing.
- Familiarity with Skagit County and its communities is a plus.
- Bilingual skills in a language other than English (ideally Spanish) and/or strong cultural awareness are highly valued.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Skagit County for meetings and events.
