PARTS COUNTER DUTIES &RESPONSIBILITIES:The Parts Advisor is the primary liaison between the parts department and its customers. Parts Advisors are responsible for assisting their customers with parts needs and insuring the customers’ continued satisfaction with the dealership. Monday through Friday schedule. The primary duties and responsibilities of the Parts Advisor include:
- Provide exceptional service to all customers and vendors.
- Process customer orders and recommend additional related parts.
- Gain superior product knowledge and understanding of vehicle components to effectively help customers.
- Assist with daily inventory, receiving, stocking and shipping.
- Assist in maintaining perpetual inventories. Help maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the service counter, work area and stockroom.
- Maintain records of time, expenses and materials.
PARTS COUNTER QUALIFICATIONS:At a minimum, the Parts Advisor should have the following qualifications:
- Must have parts counter experience.
- Understand basic automotive components and systems.
- A team player who is focused on providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Working knowledge of computers.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Communication skills in person, writing and over the telephone.
