Utility I- Parks & Cemetery

This position performs a variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of Cemetery and Parks facilities. The Parks Utility I position performs construction, maintenance, repair and field game preparation including a variety of tasks in general trades and/or skilled maintenance, repair, alteration and construction of facilities, fixtures, irrigation systems and recreational equipment at City parks and recreation areas. The Parks Utility I worker will possess a strong orientation towards customer service, a stewardship philosophy of natural spaces, and will be committed to professional development in parks maintenance. Though primarily in the Parks and Cemetery department, this City crew performs as a team and the person in this position may be assigned other City public work tasks. This position reports directly to the Parks Supervisor.
