On-Call Facility Monitor

A Facility Monitor oversees events taking place at the Burlington Senior Center and other rental facilities throughout the Burlington’s park system.  They must interpret rules and regulations to the renting party when needed and insure all rules and regulations are complied with.

Following a review of applications, the highest qualified applicants will be interviewed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older and a high school graduate or equivalent. Experience working with the general public and large groups in a public setting is preferred. • Must be able to successfully pass a background check. • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States. • Must provide own transportation to work site. • Ability to operate a computer and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software desirable, but not required.

• Ability and willingness work with large groups and a variety of personalities. • Ability to provide work direction and guidance to volunteers. • Ability to cope with situations firmly, and with respect for individual rights and beliefs. • Ability to work independently. • Ability to perform manual tasks as needed. • Ability to recognize safety concerns and handle appropriately. • Ability to communicate in Spanish is desirable, but not required.
