The City of Anacortes Police Department is seeking an entry level law enforcement professional to serve as our next Police Officer.

The Anacortes Police Department has 28 commissioned officers, and special assignment opportunities such as detectives, K9, bike patrol, narcotics detective, and a school resource officer.

Qualifications

To become a police officer with the City of Anacortes you must have an associates degree from an accredited college or equivalent technical certification from an accredited college. At the Police Chief’s discretion, education may be substituted for college coursework amounting to no less than 90 credits or military experience with honorable discharge. You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire, have a valid driver's license, pass all required pre-employment examinations, and qualify to possess a firearm in accordance with federal and state regulations.
