We believe in compassion, love, and respect for all people, especially those who are poor and vulnerable. For over 100 years, Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services have served individuals and families in need in Western Washington. As the largest private social service provider in the state, our employees and volunteers serve, on average, 100,000 people each year. We offer over 180 services, including emergency services, family day centers, shelters, housing, mental health and addiction recovery, pregnancy support, youth enrichment, and services to seniors. We believe in every person having the right to a safe, affordable place to call home. Catholic Housing Services provides stable housing and serves individuals and families experiencing homelessness, who have no to little income, and have special physical and mental needs. We believe in every child growing up in a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. Family Behavior Health System provides counseling services for children and their families. We believe in healthy family life being affirmed and supported in our communities. Thirteen family centers from Bellingham to Vancouver, Washington, offer regional services that meet local needs. We believe in elders living in security and dignity. The Long Term Care System hires, screens, trains, and supervises home care workers who provide personal care and homemaker tasks to people who need the assistance to remain independent and in their homes. We believe in joining with others to change the systems that oppress, discriminate, or otherwise cause human suffering. We believe in employees and volunteers working in an environment that offers respect, teamwork, and excellence. We believe in all these things for all people, whatever their color, whatever language they speak, or however they worship.
