Description

Position Summary

The Development Coordinator supports the operational and data infrastructure of the development department. This role oversees donor data entry and integrity, manages event procurement tracking, and provides logistical support for fundraising activities. The successful candidate will have passion for Camp Korey’s mission to provide free, life-enhancing camp programs for children with serious medical conditions. They will practice exemplary customer service skills and find joy in communicating with donors, volunteers, and camper families. They will be self-motivated, organized, collaborative, and willing to take complete ownership of critical duties.

This position will report to the Director of Development and will work with other development team members to support the overall goals of the department. This is an onsite position that allows for a flexible schedule that will be established to meet both personal and Camp Korey needs. There will be periodic evening or weekend requests to support events.

Top candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and will work with a high degree of organization and attention to details combined with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Entry

  • Maintain the development database (DonorPerfect) to ensure all gift and constituent information is accurate and current.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of gifts, pledges, and donor interactions.
  • Support and prepare weekly and month stewardship tasks.
  • Generate reports for development and finance teams as needed.
  • Process all gifts and acknowledgements and work with the Finance Department to reconcile weekly and monthly.
  • Compose drafts of gift acknowledgement and stewardship correspondence to constituency and volunteers as needed, particularly for Donor Perfect’s form acknowledgements and receipts.
  • Technical support and management (or ownership) of fundraising platforms including:
  • GiveCloud and Greater Giving event registration forms
  • GiveBIG platform (Washington Gives)
  • Haku Sports
  • Others as necessary
  • Assist in preparing reports for committees and board meetings
  • Maintain policy and process documentation for database
  • Support the mission of Camp Korey with other duties as needed

Event Support

  • Help track and procure auction items.
  • Manage systems for tracking in-kind donations and auction items.
  • Coordinate with vendors and donors for event-related contributions.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely follow-up for procurement needs.
  • Assist with logistics and planning for fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Support reconciliation of donations and event revenue.
  • Collaborate with finance and administrative teams for compliance and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree (complete or in progress) in Business, Data Systems, or related field or 2 years of equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated systems/technical expertise
  • Process oriented with an ability to coordinate activities
  • Experience with fund development and non-profit organizations a plus
  • Experience with Donor Perfect database system a plus
  • Eligibility Requirements; valid driver’s license, background check, current vaccinations, and CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (training available)
