Classroom Aide – Anacortes Family Center Preschool

$20.20–$21.43 per hour DOE/DOQ (+$1.00/hour location differential)
18–25 hours per week | Monday–Friday

A preschool classroom rarely stands still-and that's part of what makes it such a great place to work.

One minute you're helping with an art project, the next you're reading a story, joining a game, or encouraging a child who's working hard to master something new. We're looking for a Classroom Aide who is ready to jump in and help make those busy days positive, engaging, and fun.

At the Anacortes Family Center, you'll work alongside our classroom and Club team to help children feel safe, included, and excited to participate. You'll support daily routines, activities, learning through play, and the many transitions that keep a preschool classroom moving.

Reliability matters in this role. Young children thrive on consistency, and your classroom team needs someone they can count on to show up ready to be present, involved, and supportive each day. We're looking for someone who is dependable, patient, team-oriented, and comfortable being active throughout the day-including moving around the classroom, sitting on the floor, bending, and assisting children as needed.

Candidates must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet Washington DCYF background and health standards. Required training, including CPR/First Aid and STARS, is supported if needed.
