Lead Teacher – Preschool Program

Full-Time (36-40 hrs/wk) | $21.75–$23.07 DOE/DOQ (+1.00 Differential for location)

Some children discover the world by asking "why?" every five minutes. Others discover it through messy art projects, imaginative play, outdoor adventures, or proudly showing you the same drawing over and over again.

We're looking for a Lead Teacher who understands that all of those moments matter.

At Anacortes Family Center, our preschool classrooms are built around curiosity, connection, encouragement, and growth. We want someone who can create a classroom where children feel safe enough to try new things, supported enough to work through big feelings, and excited enough to learn each day.

This role is about more than managing a classroom. It's about helping children build confidence, friendships, empathy, problem-solving skills, and independence while making learning genuinely fun. Some days will be full of laughter, storytelling, and exploration. Other days will involve helping children navigate emotions, practice kindness, and work through challenges together. Both are equally important here.

As the Lead Teacher, you'll guide the classroom experience, support an Assistant Teacher, and build strong relationships with families. We're looking for someone who brings warmth, patience, creativity, and positive energy into the classroom while creating routines that help children thrive.
