Looking for a job where your energy, creativity, and compassion really matter? Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County is hiring a Youth Development Professional to join our Mount Vernon Club. This role is all about supporting youth after school by creating a safe, engaging space full of opportunities to learn, grow, and have fun.
At the Mount Vernon Club, you'll be part of a team that shows up for kids every day. From helping with homework and leading group activities to being a trusted and encouraging adult, your presence helps youth feel supported, confident, and excited to be at the Club.
What You'll Be Doing:
You'll help plan and lead activities that promote academic success, healthy lifestyles, and positive character development. You'll support group programming, encourage participation, and help maintain a welcoming and organized environment. Working closely with teammates and families, you'll help ensure the Club is a place where kids feel safe, included, and valued.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for dependable, enthusiastic people who enjoy working with youth and bringing positive energy into an afterschool environment. This role does require meeting Washington State requirements for licensed childcare, including completing background checks, required training, and health documentation such as a TB test and proof of MMR vaccination or immunity. If you're flexible, willing to learn, and excited to support kids in a meaningful way, we'd love to hear from you.
Special Pay Differential:
The Mount Vernon Club offers a Spanish bilingual pay differential of up to $1.25 per hour for staff who are Spanish-speaking and willing to provide verbal and/or written translation.
