Brief Job Overview:
As a store representative, you will assist in maintaining the check-in and check-out process of Birch’s extensive fleet of equipment and tools. A great position for gaining life-long career skills, you will be working directly with Birch crew and our awesome customers. This position includes working in the elements outside in the rental yard and in the warehouse. Over 90% of Operations Managers started in this role, a great starting position if you are interested in Birch and the potential of a career in business, sales, management, marketing, diesel technology, CDL Driving Positions, CMV driving or management.
Scope:
- Perform a variety of manual tasks to assist with day-to-day operations
- Basic inspection and servicing of small equipment
- Rent and sell equipment to customers
- Organize, maintain, and stage equipment in the yard
- Maintain store cleanliness
- Load/unload customers
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Computer competency
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to bend or kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Willing to work in the elements year-round
- This is a safety-sensitive position that requires a Drug Free workplace, including ability to pass pre-employment drug test & random drug tests
Licenses Required: Valid WA State license in good standing
