You’d make a great Small Engine Technician if you’d enjoy working alongside top talent technicians maintaining and repairing quality brands, large variety fleet of rental equipment.
- Preferred minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Knowledge in Small engine diagnosis, adjust, repairs or overhauls on small 2&4 Stroke engines used to power Chain saws, Chop saws, generators, pumps, air compressors, and related equipment.
- Service Drive Systems, diagnose, disassembly, reassembly, and servicing
- Analyze, diagnose, and repair electrical systems
- Perform routine maintenance on all related equipment
- Must have basic computer skills to look up parts and materials needed to perform repairs
- Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used
- Keep the shop clean and organized
- Able to read and understand service manuals
- Tools to perform minor and major repairs on small engines
Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with small gasoline engines and associated components and systems including: two and four stroke engines; lubrication cooling; fuel systems; governor speed control; chains; and clutches.
- Knowledge of operation and overhaul basics for two stroke and four stroke engines
- Demonstrated knowledge of the various electrical circuits found on small engine equipment, such as circuits for: ignition and magnetos, charging batteries, starting, and safety systems.
- Being Able to Analyze, Diagnose and Repair Hydraulics is a plus
- Self-motivated
- This is a safety-sensitive position that requires a Drug Free workplace, including ability to pass pre-employment drug test & random drug tests
Licenses Required: Valid WA State license in good standing
