The cabinet maker is responsible for detail sanding of fine teak cabinetry for 28 – 40 foot yachts. Candidate must be able to use a table saw, hop saw, small hand tools for wood working. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work in different positions, though most of the work is on a bench. This can be an entry-level position in a fine marine cabinet shop that typically works up to a Senior Cabinet builder over 2 – 3 years.
